Hello!
It’s my favourite time of the month, where I share the books I’ve read, loved and would genuinely recommend to the people in my life.
This month I only read one murder book (who even am I?), three coming-of-age novels, and a modern rom-com with a twist.
Here are the books I read and loved in November:
Good Material by Dolly Alderton
Dolly Alderton’s second novel surprised me in the best possible way. I loved every single word but the final 20 pages had me punching the air and screaming ‘YES!’.
It follows Andy, a 35-year-old struggling comedian whose long-term girlfriend Jen has just dumped him.
While Andy moves from his best mate’s spare room to a leaky houseboat to a share house with an ageing conspiracy theorist, he tries to figure out why Jen doesn’t want to be with him anymore and what he can do to win her back.
With Nick Hornby-ish humour and the witty perception of Nora Ephron, Good Material is a hilariously insightful book about men and women and what we really want.

Zero Days by Ruth Ware
If you’ve been following me for awhile you’ll know that I’m obsessed with everything Ruth Ware writes. She’s a modern day Agatha Christie, whose characters are so well developed, you actually care what happens to them.
Her latest release Zero Days, follows Jack Cross, a 20-something penetration specialist who, along with her husband Gabe, is hired to break into buildings and hack security systems.
After she arrives home from a routine job to find Gabe dead in front of his laptop, she quickly becomes the main suspect. So, she goes on the run, evading the police for days, as she tries to figure out who killed Gabe and whether she’s their next target.
Zero Days is a page-turning thriller with a main character you’ll truly want to root for.
