Cinema is back, baby!
After years of Marvel movies, box office flops and the pandemic, film studios finally started taking some big gambles to get people back to the cinema around 2022. A lot of those gambles have paid off. Top Gun: Maverick was a huge box office success in 2022 and saw people from all generations heading to the cinema to see the big, silly, nostalgic action flick. And I don’t think I need to explain to you the pop culture phenomenon that was Barbenheimer in July 2023.
Novocaine, the new action flick from Paramount Pictures, is another gamble that’s paying off.
It stars cute little nepo baby Jack Quaid (he’s the perfect blend of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, so I forgive him for the massive leg up he got in Hollywood) as Nathan Caine, an assistant manager at a San Diego bank who has a rare condition which makes him unable to feel any pain.
