Sometimes you just need to watch a low-stakes, fun movie and Disney+’s Quiz Lady is just that.

It follows Anna (Awkwafina), a 30-something loner who works a dead-end job and spends her nights guessing all the correct answers to her favourite game show, Can’t Stop The Quiz.

After her mother escapes her nursing home with a new boyfriend and flees the country, her bookie kidnaps Anna’s geriatric dog Mr Linguine and threatens to keep him unless she can pay the $80k her mother owes him.

With the help of her hot mess of a sister Jenny (Sandra Oh), Anna comes up with a plan to make the money the only way she knows how — be being bloody great at Can’t Stop The Quiz.

Quiz Lady is a fun movie about sisters, growing up, and taking chances.
