Running Point, Scamanda and Cloud.

Last weekend, I inhaled screener episodes of the entire first season of Running Point, the new Netflix series created by Mindy Kaling and Ike Barinholtz and starring Kate Hudson. And I have to say I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a Netflix series since Nobody Wants This premiered late last year.

Running Point, which can best be described as Succession meets Ted Lasso meets an early noughties rom-com starring Kate Hudson, follows reformed party girl Isla Gordon (Hudson) who has to step up as CEO of her family’s pro basketball team after her older brother is involved in a scandal.

Isla has to prove herself to the team, the fans and her own brothers, as she attempts to save the team from a record losing season and a string of scandals.

It’s comfort watching at its best with a killer cast including Hudson, Brenda Song, New Girl’s Max …
