One of my biggest regrets is losing touch with the best friends I had in high school and my early twenties.
These friendships made me the woman I am today. They taught me to laugh at myself, to embrace my weirdness, and to never give up on my dreams, no matter how wild they were.
Most of these friends are now just people I follow on Instagram. I like the photo of their new baby, and smile when I think about the time we spent together.
But I’ve often wondered: What would happen if I tried to reignite these friendships?
That’s the premise of Platonic, the new Apple TV+ series starring Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen.
Sylvia (Byrne), a stay-at-home mum, reconnects with her friend Will (Rogen) after she learns that he has divorced the woman she always hated.
What follows is chaos and comedy, as the two former best friends try to fit into each other’s new lives. The first three episodes are streaming on Apple TV+ now, with new episodes dropping weekly.
