6 new true crime documentaries to feed your dark, dark soul.
You MUST watch Demons and Saviours.
Hello!
There’s nothing better than curling up on the couch with a packet of chips and diving into a true crime documentary that’s so wild, you can’t believe it’s a true story.
With so many streaming services releasing documentaries throughout the year, I thought I’d round up the ones that are worth your chip-eating time.
Here are the best new true crime documentaries:
Demons and Saviours
As a child, Christine Boyer was adopted into an abusive, religious family.
When Christine was a teenager, the family began to experience paranormal activity in their house. Soon, Christine became the centre of a media frenzy and was dubbed ‘The Poltergeist Girl’.
After she was caught on tape faking paranormal activity, Christine was hounded by the media.
A decade later, Christine’s three-year-old daughter died under suspicious circumstances and she was convicted of her murder.
Demons and Saviours looks at Christine’s unusual upbringing and the events that led up to her daughter’s death.
You can watch it on Disney+ in Australia.
