#59 What I've been reading, watching and listening to this week.
A new dark comedy about... robots, The Twelve season 2 and a podcast about feminism, motherhood and work.
I always get excited when I see Apple TV+ has a new series coming out because I know it’s going to be a little different to what’s on offer on the other streaming platforms, and their new dark comedy Sunny didn’t disappoint.
It stars Parks and Rec’s Rashida Jones as Suzie, an American woman who’s living in Japan with her husband and son. After she’s informed that her husband and son have disappeared in a mysterious plane crash, she’s given ‘Sunny’, a robot that was apparently designed by her husband.
Reeling from the tragedy and trying to adjust to her new life with a live-in robot, Suzie starts to suspect that there might be more to her family’s disappearance.
