I had been craving a new British thriller series and Apple TV+’s Criminal Record has hit the spot.

The eight-part series follows Detective Sergeant June Lenker (Cush Jumbo) who is drawn into an old murder case after receiving an anonymous phone call. June’s interest in the case puts her directly in the path of Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty (Peter Capaldi), a seasoned detective who is determined to make her stop looking into the case and the man he put behind bars for it.
