This week I found myself in an unexpected place.
On a golf course.
In Melbourne.
In the middle of a thunderstorm.
Of course, I wasn’t there physically. I was there courtesy of Primrose Li, the main character in The Albatross, Nina Wan’s beautifully written debut about a lost woman who tries to find herself… on the local golf course.
After a slow build, The Albatross is a funny, heartbreaking novel about first loves, the fight between duty and desire, and trying to find yourself in the most unexpected places.
